On April 26-27, 2025, the 9th "Taxation Judicial Theory and Practice" Forum, hosted by the Finance and Taxation Law Research Association of the China Law Society and the Case Law Research Association of the China Law Society, was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Experts from the fields of tax law and practice jointly participated in this forum. Jia Mengmeng, senior partner and tax lawyer of Gaopeng Law Firm, was invited to attend the forum and share his views on the issue of gambling tax refunds with the Shanghai Taxation Bureau, focusing on the case of Wang and the Shanghai Taxation Bureau's refusal to refund taxes.
