Gao Peng Holds a Symposium to Commemorate the 20th Anniversary of China's Entry into the WTO
On June 2,Gaopeng Law Firm held a reading conference to commemorate the 20th anniversary of China's accession to the WTO.Hong Xiaodong(former Director of the WTO Department of the Ministry of Commerce),colleagues from other law firms,and experts and scholars from the China World Trade Organization Research Association were invited to participate in the symposium.Tang Xiaobing,a senior consultant at Gaopeng Law Firm and former senior WTO official,joined the conference from Geneva.At the meeting,Hong Xiaodong and Tang Xiaobing made presentations and comments on some recent hot issues in the WTO,including the negotiation of multilateral agreements such as WTO reform,dispute settlement mechanism,regional integration,investment facilitation agreement,information technology agreement,environmental products agreement,and the ministerial meeting at the end of this year.Participants said that the symposium deepened everyone's understanding of the multilateral trading system and the positive role of China in it,and benefited greatly.
