Lawyers Feng Wei and Yang Fan have effectively defended and released suspects of tax evasion
Recently, in a tax evasion case represented by lawyers Feng Wei and Yang Fan from Gaopeng Law Firm, after effective defense, the prosecutor's office made a decision not to arrest the suspect.
The party X in this case was criminally detained by a Beijing Public Security Bureau on suspicion of tax evasion. On May 13th, after consultation, the family members of the parties established a commission relationship with lawyers Feng Wei and Yang Fan.
When accepting a commission, X has already been submitted to the police for arrest, and the time is tight and the task is heavy. The two lawyers immediately started working and went to the detention center to meet with X as soon as possible. Through understanding the situation with company personnel, reviewing the company's financial and tax information, coordinating with tax authorities for verification, and communicating with public security investigators, they finally clarified the facts of the case. After analysis and judgment, the two lawyers believe that the non arrest of X can be applied.
On the basis of the above work, the two lawyers drafted and submitted detailed written legal opinions and evidence materials to the handling prosecutor, and communicated the case situation several times over the phone. On the afternoon of May 24th, the procuratorate finally made a decision not to approve the arrest, X was successfully released.
